ABOUT US
About Us The St Hugh’s Community Centre is close to the River Aire on Coach Road, Baildon. We offer an interesting mix of activities and groups for local residents. Whether you are interested in crafts, socialising or exercising, children's or youth's groups, visiting our café or joining our Reminiscence group, you will be made very welcome. We offer activities for all age groups and are always interested in hearing your suggestions. For a full list of our activities see our 'Activities' page. We also take our role in improving our community seriously - we operate a food bank, a place to consult your local councillor, local and national elections and community campaign meetings. FOOD BANK The Centre is involved in active partnerships and links with other suitable organisations like Bradford Council and Baildon Town Council. We are supported by grants from a variety of funders and offer our services at low and often subsidised prices.
The Centre was set up by The Church of England’s Parish of Baildon in 1993 to provide a meeting place for local people and a venue for organisations to bring a mixture of activities into the area. The Centre is run by employed staff and volunteers, and managed by a constituted, voluntary committee.
