Monday

Yoga Class - 10.00am to 11.30am
Hatha Yoga offers exercises to stretch and flex the body, develops breath awareness, and provides relaxation and some meditation. In Yoga, each person works at his/her own level. Classes are booked in terms with typically an 11 or 12 week run. Classes are paid upfront on a termly basis.

Get Online sessions - 2.00pm to 3.30pm
Do you want to learn how to use a tablet to access the internet, send emails and stay safe? If you're over 55, Carers' Resource offer 8-week courses, free of charge. You can have free use of a tablet too. These are basic sessions so you'll learn everything from how to turn the device on, to researching your hobbies and making friends. 5Rhythms Dance Sessions - 7.00pm to 9.00pm
Feeling stuck in a rut and ready for a new adventure? Want to get fit, reduce stress and have some fun? 5 Rhythms might be just what you’re searching for! 5Rhythms is a creative movement practice, open to all ages and levels of ability. No set steps to learn; we follow our own energy, moving out of our busy minds and into our feet, connecting with the breath and moving to some juicy tunes! Booking not required just turn up ready to move. Bare feet or soft dance shoes, no heels!

Weekday Service (The Eucharist) - 9.30am

A short mid-week Service led by a member of the clergy.

Huntun Tai Chi Classes - 11.45am to 12.45pm

These Tai Chi classes offer gentle exercise, suited to all abilities, for those who want standing or seated exercise. People who live with a disability or long term conditions such as arthritis, stroke, heart disease, chronic pain, anxiety and depression, Parkinsons disease, and recovering from injury or surgery are very welcome.

Super Nova 60s - 2.00pm - FIRST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH

This group is aimed at people over 60 years old and offers a monthly opportunity to enjoy a speaker/demonstration, a game of bingo, a raffle and refreshments. We will also hold occasional trips for days out at a shopping experience or meal and entertainment venue. We meet every first Tuesday of the month. Meetings last about 2 hours. We charge £3 which includes entry, raffle ticket, bingo card and refreshments. There is no need to book - you can just turn up and we welcome you to join in.

Memory Lane Reminiscence Group - 2.00pm - THIRD TUESDAY OF THE MONTH

How do you fancy having a stroll down memory lane with us? We are interested in your memories of Baildon and this community, and each week we will be exploring a different aspect of bygone days: music, cinema, old photographs, food and cookery. Come and discuss your experience of life from the end of WW2 onwards. We have multi-sensory meetings - food and music are often included - and classic film shows. We meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 2pm. Sessions cost £2 which includes refreshments. Anchor Swing Band - 8.00pm to 10.00pm

Wednesday

Oasis Café - 9.00am to 10.30am

A friendly weekly café serving hot drinks and toasted teacakes. A great chance to meet other local people and make new friends. Just turn up an Wednesday in term time. Tea or coffee costs 50p and a toasted teacake costs 50p too.

Every summer we arrange a day-trip to the seaside: Bridlington, Scarborough or similar. The day includes luxury coach travel, collecting at St Hugh's. The trip is very reasonably priced, usually £10 to £12 per person. We subsidize this trip by running a weekly raffle at Oasis Cafe - tickets cost just 50p. It's completely optional but good fun with good prizes!

Craft Group - 1.45am to 2.00pm

This is a group of craft enthusiasts with mixed skills and abilities. We meet weekly to complete our own craft projects, share skills and chat. There is great camararderie! We also have occasional guest tutors or workshop days. Everyone is welcome to join us whether you are a complete beginner or a skilled crafter. We all do a great mixture of crafting from knitting, quilting and applique to dress making and beading. Sessions cost £3.50. Just come along any Wednesday or call Sarah Baxter on 07421 328187.

 

Main Stage Dance Academy - 4.30pm to 5.30pm

Training Classes for Puppies and Dogs - 6.00pm to 8.00pm

Provided by Gatsby & Poole, teach your dog essential life skills and resolve problem behaviours in this weekly class. One-to-one or class training sessions available. HALE Youth Group - 5.30pm to 7.30pm

Thursday

Carers Support Group - 10.00am to 12.00pm

Are you caring for someone? Perhaps you don't see yourself as a carer? If you're caring for a family member or watching out for a neighbour you might feel overwhelmed sometimes with nowhere to turn. We offer a monthly support meeting at St Hugh's where you can talk to a member of Carers Resource Shipley who can help you with advice on benefits, home help, wellbeing and more. Share your issues with other local carers and enjoy some time out. Sessions are free and include refreshments. See our 'Latest News' page for future dates.

 

Bingo - 6.30pm to 7.30pm

A weekly game of Bingo with raffle and refreshments. Everybody welcome. Just turn up! Entry costs 60p. Bingo books are priced at 60p each. We run a weekly raffle too and if you'd like to buy a ticket, it costs just 50p. Refreshments are included.

Art Class
Art Class - 10.00am to 12 noon

A instructional class led by artists Kate and Peter Readman. Classes are run in terms and sessions run from September until May. Please contact Kate and Peter by email at pkreadman@btinternet.com for more information and price of classes.

Art Group - 1.30pm to 4.30pm

An informal art group who whare tips, paint together and chat. All levels and mediums welcome. Classes cost £3 each, payable in 10 week blocks. Please contact St Hugh's on 07421 328187 for more information or just turn up!
